Katie has honed her operational skills working for two of the global leaders in manufacturing, Toyota and General Electric. She has a solid understanding of operations due to experience working in Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Supervision, Production Control, Purchasing, Supplier Development, Project Management, Customer Service, and Lean Implementation. Katie has worked in the Automotive, Aviation, and Energy sectors and aims to spread that experience to healthcare, education, government, light manufacturing, and beyond. She has benchmarked operations in 50+ different manufacturing plants. While at Toyota, she learned and practiced Lean, Toyota Production Systems, and Toyota’s methodical approach to problem solving both in Toyota factories and at suppliers’ plants. At GE, Katie honed her operational understanding of production and implementing lean in more traditional environments. She has experience working in a variety of shop floor environments including high and low volume, high and low mix, union and non-union, younger & older work forces, small to large product size, and small to large operation size.

Katie grew up in Indianapolis, IN and now resides in Bloomington, IN. She enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, and making cornhole boards.
